The Jeffrey Thomas Hayden Foundation is
proud to announce that Heather Schwenker has
joined our staff and will take on the position
as Executive Director. Heather comes to us from
the Kirwin Institute for the Study of Race and
Ethnicity at the Ohio State University, where
she held the position of Director of Development.
In addition to her 2 ˝ years of service at The Kirwan
Institute, Heather brings with her over eight years of
development experience at The Ohio State University.
She served as the director of Foundation Relations for
The Ohio State University Medical Center and James Cancer
Hospital and also held positions in the University Development
Corporate and Foundation Relations office. Heather received her
BA in Fine Arts from Mount Union College.
Heather has been involved with JTHF for many years where she
held a seat on the Advisory Board and was involved in various
fundraising activities. She is working toward a Fund Raising
Certificate at the University of Indiana. Heather is an experienced
and motivated individual that has dedicated her career towards helping others.

volunteers to build a strong foundation in the battle against
pediatric brain cancer”, stated Heather Schwenker.
Heather will be working with the Hayden
Family to create, develop, and execute plans for
the foundation. She will direct and implement a fund
development program that includes foundation and corporate
gifts and special events. She will work with our volunteers
to oversee and direct our fundraising events. Her primary
responsibility is to build a solid foundation within the
organization in which we can achieve our goal of Making a
Difference in the Fight Against Pediatric Brain Tumors.
The Jeffrey Thomas Hayden Foundation was created to
increase Awareness about Pediatric Brain Tumors and
provide Education and Support to affected families.
To raise money to fund worthy causes; such as Academic
Scholarships, Research, and assist other support organizations
with their efforts, with a focus on finding a balance between
the best available treatments with the best quality of life.
