The sun shone nearly as brightly as the faces of roughly 200 walkers on the morning of Saturday, May 5, 2007 at the 3rd annual Jeffrey Thomas Hayden Foundation 5K Family Fun Walk. West Chester’s Ronald Reagan Voice of Freedom Park was alive with music, food, prizes, laughter, and most importantly, fellow supporters in the fight to make a difference in the area of pediatric brain tumors. Once again, Jeff managed to bring together a multitude of various friends, family members, and other cancer-fight devotees that ultimately generated a rewarding and entertaining event. With the help of every participant and JTHF supporter, approximately $18,000 was raised at the Family Fun Walk. Many thanks goes to the walk’s sponsors, including Fifth Third Bank, Yelton’s Fine Jewelry, Wellington Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine, Tradewinds Tea House, Jeanette’s Delicacies, and Cabling Specialists. Without the help of everyone, the fight would be a much more rigorous uphill battle.

Jeffrey’s Walk is an annual spring event, so if you’ve missed it the past three years, continue to check our website for updates and extra information regarding this event. Special thanks go to Kate Miller for putting forth such a generous effort to plan the walk. Says Mrs. Miller, “If I had to sum up the work I've done with the foundation regarding the walk, I would have to say that it is so rewarding to be part of an organization that has accomplished so much in the fight against such a devastating disease. My thanks go to all the walkers and people who donated to this year's Family Fun Walk. They are truly the folks responsible for making the event a success. My sincere thanks to all who helped again with this year's event - you are an amazing group of people to work with!” Assistance and support is always needed and welcome, so if you’d like to volunteer, participate in the walk, pledge money, or sponsor the event next year, don’t hesitate to become involved in such a worthwhile and enjoyable occasion. Be sure to take a look at the JTHF Walk pictures that are now posted on the website, and continue to support and fight with us in the crusade for the cure to pediatric brain tumors.

The Jeffrey Thomas Hayden Foundation is a registered 501c(3) non profit organization that was created to Make a Difference in the fight against pediatric brain tumors. For more information visit our web site at www.jthf.org
