JTHF Supports Pediatric Brain Tumor Research at OSU

On December 6th, 2006 The Jeffrey Thomas Hayden Foundation (JTHF) made a donation in the amount of $75,000 to the Ohio State University Foundation to support the “Jeffrey Thomas Hayden Foundation Postdoctoral Endowed Fellowship Fund in Pediatric Brain Tumor Research at the Ohio State University Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and the Richard L. Solove Research Institute”.

This position was created in December of 2005 and is under the direction of Antonio Chiocca, MD, PhD. Under the terms of the agreement, JTHF made a $250,000 commitment to OSU, and will be funded over a three year period. This payment brings to $100,000 the total amount contributed to date.

Heather Schwenker, the Director of Foundation Relations for the OSU Medical Center, was on hand to receive the ceremonial check from Dr. Thomas Hayden, the Director of JTHF’s Grant and Scholarship program.
