The
Jeffrey Thomas Hayden Foundation is happy to announce that its logo will
appear on the ARCA RE/Max Series racecar of 19 year old Josh Krug.
Josh’s father and team owner, Pat Krug, met former ARCA car owner Tim
Hayden at the Kentucky Speedway in May during an open test session. Tim
and Pat hit it off and Pat agreed to put the logo on the car in memory
of Jeff.
Pat Krug Racing is based in Omaha, Nebraska and they are sponsored by
Johnson Hardware out of Nebraska. They plan on competing at a handful of
ARCA RE/Max Series events in 2005 and taking advantage of every test
session to further the development of their young driver. Josh Krug
recently graduated high school and is looking forward to racing fulltime
this summer. Josh was 1 of 400 people competing for a ride in the Jack
Rousch development program and made it to the final round. This is quite
a feat for a kid that has only been competing for several years.
Hayden’s team, Rite Track Racing, no longer competes in the series, but
several former crew members, along with some friends from Jones Brothers
Racing
www.jonesbrosracing.com, were on hand to assist Josh in his first
ever ARCA race. Josh qualified his #39 Johnson Hardware Monte Carlo in
the 12th position for the Harley Davidson 150 at the Kentucky Speedway
and had a top 10 run going until he cut a tire while racing points
leader Frank Kimmel for 6th place. He went on to finish in 21st.
The
JTHF logo will appear on the car at the ARCA race in Kansas on July 2nd
and again at the Kentucky Speedway on July 8th. Good luck to Josh and
the entire crew!
