March 8, 2005
Saturday Night at the Cincinnati Gardens was a night dedicated to winners.

Congratulations to head coach Brad Shaw and the rest of the team on the big win. Brad has the Ducks on a roll and the team put on a great show. We are happy to report that nearly $3000 was raised for the Foundation from the sale of tickets and silent auction items. And best of all, we had the opportunity to let some kids have a good time.

The Silent Auction was a huge success and provided some thrills as the winning bids were announced. Thanks to Ducks head coach Brad Shaw for donating the framed autographed uncut player card sheet. Not only did he donate the item and have it framed, but he personally made sure that each and every player signed it. Also I want to thank NHL Mighty Ducks head coach Mike Babcock for donating the Sergei Fedorov autographed jersey. It was nice to offer quality items from quality people. Thanks!

The kids were the big winners on the night. Six were selected to sit on the bench during warm-ups and go out on the ice and stand next to a player during the National Anthem. Then another got the opportunity to shoot the puck to try and win the Foundation $30,000. And when the game was over another seven got the opportunity to go into the Ducks locker room and meet the players.

Special thanks to everyone at the Mighty Ducks organization for helping us with this event, especially Suzanne, Eric and Richard. You guys are awesome!
