Scholarships

JTHF has established two separate scholarship funds.

The first fund was established in January of 2006, as representatives from the Jeffrey Thomas Hayden Foundation, along with representatives from the Ohio State University Foundation, announced the creation of a postdoctoral endowed fellowship position that will fall under the direction of world renowned brain tumor expert, Dr. Antonio Chiocca. Click here to see copy of news release.

The formal name of the position is called “The Jeffrey Thomas Hayden Foundation Postdoctoral Endowed Fellowship Fund in Pediatric Brain Tumor Research at the Ohio State University Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and the Richard L. Solove Research Institute.” Under the terms of the agreement, JTHF will fund the permanent position that will be under the control of Dr. Chiocca and his staff. The fund is open to additional contributions from outside donors. Contact JTHF for more information.

The second scholarship program, which is called “The Jeffrey Thomas Hayden Scholarship Fund”, is currently in the funding stage and is expected to be ready in 2010. The criteria and eligibility for this scholarship are currently being developed.

More information will be coming at a later date regarding the application process, eligibility requirements, participating institutions and universities.
