The Jeffrey Thomas Hayden Foundation is a registered non-profit
501c(3) organization dedicated to helping kids affected by cancer.
Mission Statement
The Jeffrey Thomas Hayden Foundation was created to increase
Awareness about Pediatric Brain Tumors and provide Education and Support
to affected families. To raise money to fund worthy causes; such as
Academic Scholarships, Research, and assist other support organizations
with their efforts, with a focus on finding a balance between the best
available treatments with the best quality of life.
The Story
The Jeffrey Thomas Hayden Foundation was founded by Tim and Cindy Hayden
after losing their 12 year old son Jeffrey to a pediatric brain tumor in
September of 2004. Jeffrey’s story can be found under the
About Jeffrey section. Frustrated by the
lack of progress in finding a cure for this disease and the slow pace at
which information travels from researchers to doctors, the Hayden’s are
trying to make a difference by creating the Online Pediatric Brain Tumor
Resource Center as part of the JTHF website. The hope is to share their
experiences, along with those of other parents, with parents of newly
diagnosed children with brain tumors so that the lessons learned can be
put to the best possible use. By utilizing the information from past
experiences, along with the latest advances in medical research, other
parents will be armed with the latest and greatest information so they
can make the best possible decisions for their children.
